My contribution for this morning (CET)

I noticed that the outcomes look better when the source image has many colour values; after applying the WhiteBalance filter the source increased the number of colours (Colorcube analysis) from 58396 to 78740, and the outcome looks more pleasant (IMO)

To show what I mean I took another picture, and applied the same Metallizing effect before and after WhiteBalance.
Here the two outcomes:

I like better the 2nd one

Well, after additional tests it looks now to me that the enhancement on the outcome when some stretching mechanism is applied to the source image is a stochastic event: sometimes you get it, sometimes not (and I can't find a "rule").
So, while it could be useful to try, the enhancement is not sure .

With a cityscape I had to play/combine to get something nice (the source subject influences a lot the results, more than expected: metallizing curves are a "special animal" to work with)

After the last one, I think I have to stop with this filter: despite of the positive comment got from Graechan as soon as released it is practically "ignored" by the chatters (except my friend Issabella), likely really a strange "beast" to work with...

Dinasset, you know we all enjoy your filters a lot. :) :clap
I love seeing the metallize bright on the pictures after applying your filter. :hi5
