Looks like Washington crossing the Delaware to get to a big burning kettle of whisky to me. :)

To me it looks like a weight lifter and the background does look like a wasteland. Regardless of what each person sees it as, I love it!

I picked up a piece of sandstone once and said to my brother - look its a picture of an entire forest of pine trees.
It did indeed look like that to me.

He looked at it and said huh? :)
Beauty, as well as art is in the eye of the beholder.

I've always been fascinated by optical illusions and the pattern recognition properties of humans. Our brain is desperate to put meaning to chaotic patterns - just look at static noise for a while and you'll start "seeing" patterns in it...

This little doodle started when I was trying out filters late at night... I applied a retinex filter on a wood pattern, and suddenly I saw this trollish figure there, so I just started playing with paintbrush, gradients & different layer modes to bring it out more...

I look on the right i see someone in a boat standing up going across a river to a center landmass with a river also on the other side.Exactly how the Indians in Brazil do it. :)
Hence the Washington pun :lol
I have no idea why i said kettle of whiskey, but it does indeed look like a big kettle on a huge fire in the bottom part of the center landmass.

Perhaps a cannibal coming home for dinner?
