You will no problem :) :)
Just go to Filters > map > map object > and select 'plane' which should be the default one open.
To rotate your picture just click on the orientation tab.

Thanks Sallyanne, tried it on a few things and it works good, just have to remember to have plenty of canvas or things tend to get trimmed!

Animicule, what is your workflow to get such clarity? Do you start with the peeled paint and bump the photo onto it, or the opposite? Do you use any other filter over it?

Sorry Pat, I just get an idea and try
whatever it takes to get close to what
I think it should look like. It never
really turns out that way, but close enough.
I only spend about 5 minutes at it while doing
other things. It's just play.
I know I have tried mapping each to themselves,
then one to the other and then layer play

Yes, not much fun without some pictures.
I do use color mode and also the mapped images at various opacities.
I just never paid attention to what my fingers were doing.
