Other of my preferred effects. I have followed some different tutorials but these are the best helpful ones. IMO.
Anyway, it's much your own intuition and taste. :)

Your results look fantastic and real, Issabella. Way too tired to look at the videos at this moment, but I'm a lazy filter guy regardless, so probably wouldn't follow the directions anyway. lol

Thanks for sharing your results though. :)

I tried out the first video you listed, did it several years ago. It was difficult because I kept having to stop it and write down what steps were used. Some of my efforts were not very good, but I did manage to get a couple of good ones out of it.

Those are really beautiful Issabella. I'm thinking I could maybe use photos to start off backgrounds in my paintings by using these methods on them. Of course, I would then adapt them using normal digital painting techniques but it would speed up my workflow and make complex backgrounds easier to produce.

Thank you for the inspiration. :hi5 :paint

Thanks a lot, Dinasset. I'll prepare a basic tut for this effect, I think that in two days I'll have it to post. :)
Thanks Erisian. I'm glad this effect could be helpful for your new creations and paintings. :hi5

I did it! I hope this tutorial can be understood. Also, please check if you have the needed items before starting it. I post brushes too.
I'd love if you all enjoy doing this nice effect. :)

Thank you Issa for the tutorial and brushes, etc. I hope to have time to try it out after vacation. I wanted to post the watercolor I did with the youtube tutorial, but I can't find it. I think I probably have it uploaded here in one of the watercolor threads.

Even if definitely too many manual steps, I did my trial.

Too lazy to repeat it...sorry Issa.

(I left a lot of white margins, because I like it...)
