First pure Gimp painting from me in a long time. I love the new warp tool - it's an invaluable aid to any artist!

Very nice colours and structure.
Unclear to me where the light source is for the figure.

Thank you. Sun's down so lighting is very diffused and homogenous.

In this case, source of the light is behind the figure and this is not evident IMHO.
A bit of light in the figure's borders, maybe?

No, the light source is equal all around because it is ambient, reflected light and not direct light. If anything, my mistake was to make the shadow under her chin too dark.

Pure Gimp :paint Well done Erisan :clap

And you are right, the new warp tool is a big improvement. Although I don't see myself as an artist :)

This gives me vibes from 60's music albums :) Nice work, Erisian.

Her wings powerfully divide the image into two halves. I would almost have expected a completely different landscape (maybe green and flowering) to be visible on the right side. If her wings are 'just' wings, I'd suggest that may consider angling the furthermost one a little so as to avoid a straight, parallel line in the middle of the image. That wing is also very dark, feeling like a wall. It might be useful to experiment with making the wings transparent since it looks like these wings are more like insect wings than bat-wings.

That said, the distant landscape to the left came out really well; and the stark contrasts and fields dividing the image does make for a strong visual impact!

Thank you Griatch.

You're right about the wing - I have never been happy with it. I'll try changing it at a later date.
