Posted my first couple in Jamack's thread. Sorry J. Will have to work out how to do a sketch of a photo in GIMPressionist. I had fun with it anyhow in the last couple hours using different brushes and presets.

Is there a way to enlarge the preview window in GIMPressionist? It seems like it would be a very useful filter... if only I could see what I'm doing.

It is. I think you can only have the preview the one size. If you want to see it larger you have to run it and go to edit undo if you don't like it.

I'm not (yet) a fan of Gimpressionist, but I see SallyAnne as being very creative on using it, good!

More, using the same picture but different brushes
These are best looked at the original size

I just wish they would majorly overhaul GIMPressionist to allow multiple brushes within the same rendering time. It's no where near as powerful as it could be, but GIMPressionist hasn't been updated since GIMP 1.x days. Still, I do like your butterflies Sallyanne. :)

Sallyanne there is a thread on creating gimpressionist presets that shows how easy it is,but can't remember what it is
