This looks more like multi-faceted crystal structures than folded paper to me. Compared to the original image it's pretty impressive.

Yeah; the same technique I use for crystals I also use for folded paper; shouldn't have pushed the contrast so high. lol

Yup; like this GIMP the best of all the 2.10x versions so far. Much faster. I read that it would be, and 2.10.20.1 was tweaked which probably explains this. :)
