Started using GEGL c2g for desaturating using the procedure kindly provided by Kevin.

Note:
from now on all my outcomes make use of GEGL C2G.
You may wonder why when I show outcomes with the option colours; well, it's easy to say: one of the layer in the process is always desaturated.

Downloaded new images from Deviant Art.
No people so far.
All outcomes using a unique flow, no changes applied afterwards (which could have be the case in some cases).
