 Post subject: marching ants disappeared

Hi

I updated my iMac & MacBook Pro to to latest apple software, big sur.

On my MacBook the marching ants have completely disappeared. How do I turn them back on. command T does not work, I have changed everything in view settings or preferences and it does not change anything.

I deleted and reinstalled different versions of gimp and it doesn't change anything.

Please can someone help?

That one reported as a bug. see: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gimp/-/issues/5917

Other problems also reported. What is the problem ? latest apple software, big sur
