Won't print to paper larger than 8.5x11

Hey everyone!

I very very new to the Gimp world! It's defiantly been a challenge learning everything. I am having a very hard time figuring out how to print an image on a larger sheet of paper. I currently use 13x19 Sublimation paper and when I print my images to what I think is fitting that size they are printing A LOT smaller.

First I set the image size when creating a new image to 13x19 in. When I go to File-Page Setup and change the setting to Super B (13x19) it doesn't seem to stick. Once set I can reopen File-Page Setup and it's back to Letter 8.5x11.

Please please help! I going crazy trying to figure out how to fix this!

I have seen similar stories before on other forums and there are bug reports going back some time

Better to use some other program for printing. Maybe XnViewMP ?
