You need a good memory.

It is called Greg's crosshairs.

Just had a quick check that it still works. It is ok. Find it bottom of the view menu. (edit: like your screenshot)

Also part of the standard presets in ofn-preset-guides (plus you get crosshairs on the image or relative to the current layer).

Always good to have an alternative. I have used this one for a long time. One of RobA's scripts. guides-grid.scm
Sets guides by canvas size or active layer size.
Default is 2x2 which are centerline guides.
Can use either equal divisions or set guides spaced by number of pixels

I like this one, the notation is in rows and columns instead of number of guides, tough, but perfect for a grid, it's now it's my favorite, it's so quick and easy to setup a grid made of guides.
