Started a thread at DPR's Retouch forum but thought you all would like to play too. Earlier, I made a quick quip to the Wal-Mart lady greeter while she was sorting and dumping some roses (said, is that one for me?), and she gave me this one (which is now in a jar of water). Thought I would share this one with you all for play. It's SOOC with EXIF intact (so maybe on the bland side), but I won't share the RAW (not going to share a 20MByte file; sorry). If you want to play, I believe the jpg is good enough.

Neat effect. My camera will take RAW but I never used it because I couldn't find much to support it but now days there is a lot. RAWTherapee, photivo and Xnview all work with it. RAW and TIF for me are the same size file (23 meg) so I'm still deciding which way to go. I know RAW has a lot of advantages, I guess I just need to make the move. My little handy dandy pocket sized fixed focus spare camera only does JPG, it will do like 3000 of them and I have to batch convert them every time I take them off the memory chip but that's not a big deal. This concludes my pointless babble, carry on.

I like it with the white! Clean it up a bit, the white is a bit finicky in places and have it huge and I would love it as a desktop background

it does some neat things but it requires some fooling with to get it perfect.

All in GIMP using Difference of Gaussians edge detect, curves adjustments, stroked selection and a layer in Value mode.
