----

The Jester gasped at the display: The dancer hovered a full foot above the ground as she slowly spun around. Between her outstretched arms she formed a bright shape that soon turned out to be a shining butterfly. The dancer's face was scrunched in concentration as her golden hair fluttered from the beating of the magical butterfly's wings.

"She is amazing!" The Jester said to no one in particular. "So this is the dance of the butterfly!"

"She's a princess, you know", a man standing next to her in the crowd said. "A magical princess all of our own."

The Jester angled her head and looked closer at the blonde dancer. "She looks a bit scruffy for a princess" she commented. The man smirked. "You can have royal blood without the riches to go with it. She dances for money."

"Hey - why are people not more impressed?" the Jester said and looked around. People were applauding the display, but they didn't look nearly as awe-struck as she felt.

"Well", said the man and applauded dutifully. "She's our magical princess but ... that butterfly trick is really the only magic she's got ... It does get a little repetitive after a while."

Fantastic Griatch :clap

Loving the sense of movement and depth. The crowd are interesting too, I like their outfits.

It's more fun when there's a story to go with the image I feel. Glad you liked it. :D

Got to mix it up a bit there; also interesting to lower the detail on the background to get more of a depth effect (easier to draw too). ;)
