I would like to see the original in order to see what feelings are portrayed. This version looks to me more like it is supposed to be erotic than meaningful.

It is obvious to me that it is a religious depiction of the crucifixion and Mary Magdalens grief at Christs death.

The original is one of my (old) paintings, when my hands were able to paint.
As Pauline said it is a religious depiction of the crucifixion and Mary Magdalens grief at Christs death.
