Found out earlier at work that Olivia Newton-John passed away. Sad news indeed. Admit I had a huge crush on her when I was a kid. Beautiful until the end. She will indeed be missed.

I was talked-in to watching Grease on TV for the first time. Very cartoonish but kind of enjoyable. Hasn't audio-video production come a long way in 44 years? Olivia did good things in Australia like funding cancer research and conservation.

Warning. the following paragraph mentions cancer.
This is a freaky graphic on global cancer rates.
Quote:
Cancer tends to be more prevalent in high-income countries

So mathematically you could fund research into lowering the income rates in high risk countries :)

Unfortunately, powers that be want folk to die, Tas; sad fact. I have my own theories about cancer, but likely I'm wrong as well, but the one thing I don't do is see doctors; just don't trust them. All they want to do is dope you until you die (as they did to both my parents) and never try to cure you. All about $bucks, unfortunately. Of course I'm generalizing and not all medical people are the monsters I see them to be, but way too many are. How long I can be cavalier about my health is anyone's guess since I'm pushing ever so closer to 60. lol

:)

Mostly because you still die younger of something else in the low-income countries.
