David outdid himself this time. Started a thread at PixLS and David came through. Of course it's still experimental (cut/pasted his code into G'MIC plugin since I don't CLI) and voila (well, some other tweaks; it's what I do. lol).

David just added packed ellipsis in GIMP/G'MIC (under Patterns). Can do both ellipses as well as circles. Cool stuff. Thought I would share. Just update your G'MIC presets by clicking the refresh button.
