(Picture is link to bigger dA version)

My latest digital painting, all done in GIMP!

This is another one of my characters. She is looking at herself looking at the model she is holding. She is clearly visible twice. See if you can find her third instance.

(Hint: you shouldn't have to zoom in to see it...)

This is the same character from ``The Blob'' picture.

Thanks for the comments :)

I probably would have given it another name had I remembered the ``Droste effect''.

I hope this is open for comments and criticism

But, you have the same issue I have and many people I have I am sure :lol one of the hardest parts of the face as it's all shading, you guessed it the nose.
It seems like the tip of the noes got too light in your drawing and at first it seems right then the tip goes really light and it goes flat.

Best of luck improving
I love the background

Perhaps I ``over-dodged'' the nose a bit :D I see what you mean. Originally the tip was a little more clear.

This is a revised version. I added warmer lighting, some more flora, windows, clouds, and other decor. Added texture to the little planet and the girl (nobody has skin that perfect, so I added some moles and other blemishes. I'm not used to working with faces on this scale). More importantly, I worked on addressing the face perspective issue (thanks, Griatch!) I think the tip of her nose is, hopefully, a little more clear, too (thanks to Willy for pointing this one out).

I see her fingertips are bright, and the nose does look better but still is kinda flat imo
sorry I don't know how to fix it :(

Wow I love the little green towers with orange lights on theme those are cool!

I added the lights to the towers :)

She is supposed to have a somewhat long, flat nose. That's how it has been since I first drew her, and she just doesn't look right to me with a more feminine nose.
