Just decided to Droste a Truchet pattern that I recently created (remember the recent truchet thread? lol). I then made the globe from it (with a few addition tricks). Feel free to use the seamless pattern as you like.

I decided to go ahead and try one.
MathMap and some gradient magic.Original was 4000x4000 pixels.
This one is 1000x1000.

Glad you liked the pattern Rod. The Truchet patterns comes closest to emulating a Single Line Fill (i.e., Hilbert or Peano curves) but of course it's not quite a single line.
