Credits:
* Bauble tutorial compliments of Photomaster -> http://gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=426&start=0

* Photo of the Circle of Lights on Monument Circle here in Indy courtesy of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 481. Which those men and women donate their time and skill to string up the lights on the monument.

* The winter woodsy background from Deviant Art

* Added snow fall in the background came from this tut -> How to create snow flakes in the GIMP NOTE**: I kinda cheated a little bit on this! Since I already had a background and I just wanted to add some falling snow to it I skipped down to step #6. The things is I didn't create the brushes. Instead I did Colors->Colors to Alpha and choose black as my color. Then voi'la snow fall!

* Happy Holidays as created using the Metallica -> http://gimpscripts.com/2011/10/metallica/

Wow! :paint

Beautiful Mr Biggz. What a job that was to string up all those lights. They must have borrowed the aerial ladder from the fire department to do those. Very nice ornament.

Edit: May I ask what font you used for Happy Holidays?

Actually there is an elevator that runs up the center of the monument to an observation deck. At that point your about 200+ above ground. Then they access the top threw an door in the ceiling of the observation deck. The lights are already woven into the cables with the garland and they just hoist them to the top were they're anchored in. It actually takes them more time to check to make sure all the bulbs are lit then it does to hoist the cables. Better half of six hours for it all! But no use of city equipment nor state since this is a state monument.

The font; it's called Washington and you can find it at dafont.com!

Molly ..

That's why I like LED lights! Don't have any of my own. I have modest 960 sq ft. apt so space is tight for both items and storage.

My last shot for creativity for the day .. it's mentally over powering for me!

* Bauble image I used before as the background to my previous bauble; winter woodsy background from Deviant Art

* Snowflake brush is called Actual Snowflakes Brush Set by PurlyZig

* Font used is Rothenburg Decorative found at Font Squirrel

Decided to create a Christmas Bauble for you all using a result that I concocted with a lot of help from Flame Painter. Click here for the seamless texture that I created using that result. :)

Used my new toy along with Artshop Iridescent filter (free photoshop filter) which still works with PSPI along with PhotoKiller's Glaze filter (doesn't work with PSPI but that's what Shellout's for) and the select rotate Script-fu for this one. Now I have to hit the sack. lol

:)

Mr. Krolsky now that one (http://www.gimpchat.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=3145&start=30#p40331) reminds me of an ornament that I believe my mother still has. The thing has to be older than dirt cause I remember it as a little boy so it's most def 60's material.

It when a bunch of small different colored plastic pieces are taken then fused together and that one (I think its the lone survivor) still hangs slightly translucent color still in tact. But yes this reminds me of that one ornament! Strange!

Thanks, Molly and Lisle Krolsky. I'd say you're right, Lisle. They don't want to buy from us. So, from this point on, I am only purchasing handmade American items for gifts. Since I am a professional cabinetmaker, I make my own gifts as well.
