I converted a bunch of "splash" photos to pngs, cleaned 'em up and was itching to try them out so here's what I ended up with.

Thanks O. Something else I saw somewhere and thought was cool. Pretty easy to do actually. Cut, paste, rotate and a little airbrush to blend it all together.

No but i would love to see a plugin in GMIC to do it. :)
It is called Box Fitting, and it is a 8bf (photo shop), plugin i use through PSPI.
All of Richard Roseman's filters work through the PSPI plugin.

Thanks Mahvin.

Lyle - I know that's got to be filters. Pretty cool looking. Care to elaborate on how you got that effect?

Lyle is that a bone font? Some of those letters look almost skeleton/bone like.
Speaking of fonts Draconian mind telling us where you got that one in your Got Gimp creation? :)

Click here for ptoss (which I used to create the fake milk splash with additional heavy processing in GIMP). Click here for Effervescent Kool-aid. :)

Just a san serif (don't remember which one) font that i added some flare at the top before feeding it into DAP Rod. :)

Again, you have to have DAP to use this preset (i.e., I cheated as mentioned earlier; lol). DAP is a stand-a-lone program for creating artistic renders, but it was based on Arcimbolder (still free; doubt these presets will work in it though) and is extremely good at object based renders. We had a thread here a while back on DAP. Below's is Medichance's website for this cool and unique program. :)
