This is a doodle I did on the train home from vacations (had my laptop with me). A character from Shrike perhaps, at least she has the facial tattoos. :)

You definitely have mastered that glow/gloss look. This one came out excellent too I might add. How do you draw on a train. I guess what makes digital painting cool is you can have an undo. lol

Thanks for sharing Griatch. :)

Seems like a work of art to me.I love the way you capture a persons mood. :)
I am guessing "trying to look surprised but not being surprised" ?

It does kill the boredom. :) A four-hour train ride never flew by so fast.

I've painted whenever I go on the train for a while now (ever since my smaller tablet got freed up to use for that). One might think painting in a public place would draw attention, but a good lesson is that it doesn't. People mind their own business. I'm always intrigued about how few comments one gets from fellow passengers - I know *I* would start leaning over and ask questions if I saw someone next to me painting away, but ... I guess people are shy or simply doesn't care. Good to know if one feels self-conscious about painting in a public place.

This is indeed a doodle, the number of false starts on this is remarkable. I still aim towards the point where my grasp of anatomy is good enough that I can get placements of facial features right from the beginning ... alas I have no art education, and this is where it shows the most.

Great work Griatch - I love the hair and the costume design on this one. Thanks for sharing.

As God is my witness, I thought it was going to be a drawing of a train.

It is beautiful, though, Griatch. Well done.

Ah, a resurrected thread. This image was some time ago. Thanks for the comments people!

Thanks, yeah in retrospect I can see why you could think it would be an image of a train from the title. I can only say that the title made perfect, un-ambivalent sense in my mind at the time. ;)

The title can admittedly be interpreted both ways! Now I may need to doodle a train just to compensate for the failed expectations. ;)
