Oh, Meg. That is lovely. I really like those trees with the circles for foliage, the cattails are very cool. The sky is beautiful. It all looks so peaceful and colorful. The people in the balloon basket must be having a delightful time.

The texture is great! Very, very nice.

Makes me think of my very own special place.Remember when you were a child and you found that one special place you thought no-one had ever been? ... takes me there. =)
When i was about 8 me and my 9 year old brother found this place where we were camping with an apple tree and a river and it was just sooo peaceful. We had many an adventure there.

My brother has since passed away and i think of him there next to that river a fishing pole in one hand and a beer in the other.

Meg have you tried the Gimpressionest marble effect with this image?
Bet that would look real awesome too!
Nice work Meg! Thanks for sharing.

I wanted to thank you all for making me feel really good about this piece! I entered it into the James and the Giant Peach Contest over at dA. Even if it is never even considered, it was great fun. However, the second piece just didn't work. Ah, well, back to the proverbial drawing board.

Rod, I am going to have to try the marbling in another piece, and soon! Isn't it wonderful when art makes you just feel something? It's wonderful.
