The image's below were done with the shadowy script found under File > Create > logos > shadowy

I found this script lots of fun and have been playing around with it for a couple of days now. You can use it for any font, including ding bats.

If you don't have any of these scripts or Fonts, they are included and zipped in the folder included.

For the sky, which would be the background I used the sunrise gradient which should be included as a default packed with GIMP.

For the text image I used the Valentine font which is also included. caps work best for this font.

Very nice, Molly. I've had a lot of fun playing with the script. Since Valentines Day is coming soon ...

All GIMP scripts work in all OS's AFAIK. Scripts have an .scm extension.

The ones that may or may not work in any OS are plug-ins which generally have .c, .py, .exe and probably others I haven't mentioned. They are plug-ins.

You can safely put scripts in your gimp/scripts folder and expect them to work in any OS.

Some incorrectly call plug-ins, scripts.

1/Add the fonts to your windows fonts file
2/close gimp then go to <user name>AppData/Local/Temp/fontconfig/cache, and delete all files inside, restart gimp (takes time while it reloads all fonts from windows) and your new fonts should be there.

What i do is open Start>Control Panel>
Then drag the TTF or OTF file to the Fonts folder.

Nice Mr Biggz, love the way that script puffs out and raises the text, try it with a dingbat font, works well with that too.
