Oh, PhotoComix, talk about gallows humor. That's funny.

You're images are great. How do you do that process?

First i try to enhance all edges (Gmic unsharp boosting the - )
Then i scaled asimmetrically , as example on the first i scaled up the Height but much less the width.

I don't have the updated version of G'MIC but used unsharp mask on this one. I did the resizing in the wrong order though.

i think works better if the house or even hut has windows and doors

I don't have the updated version of G'MIC but used unsharp mask on this one.

there is a difference standard unsharpmask sharpens by creating a white halo
gmic unsharpmask may also sharpen using a dark halo ... that basically may also darken and enlarge the edges .

For scaling asymetrically also the liquid resize pluigin is very interesting...the difference is that is more simple guess the effect of "standard scaling" that of liquid resize will change scaling down or up..fascinating but a bit tricky.

:lol The image is an outhouse. There is a door in it but I don't think having windows in it is a very good idea. I used Unsharp Mask in G'MIC. Now I have updated to G'MIC 1.3.8.0.

yup...yes ,sure there are no windows , neither they will fit well

for that image you used i would try the Prospective tool
squeezing the lower base to give a prospective similar to hut and trees as if seen from below

(as often is done with skyscrapers or high building...)

Thanks for the tips about using the Perspective tool. I'm going to give that a try.

That looks really cool, PC. I, too, stretched it horizontally. It's kind of an interesting image to work with. The image I posted is a cropped version of the original image which you can get here. Outhouse image source
