And "friendly" means that just as example, support for python script would work out of the box , as the Help (and the help browser),and support for PDF and to export animation in flash
All should be already included but is not because the developers need to maintain the code the most simple and compact possible

excellent reason but at packaging time what left out to maintain the code compact could be well reintegrated at binary level (and so without modifying the source code )..and that is what i did
so you will find also Liquid Rescale, Resyntesizer, the Layer FX script, (to summarize)

Linux version is already "Linux friendly" :
in most of the distro you may already install Gimp, the gimp help, and the most needed plugin with 1 single operation and python and pdf support works already out of the box
Exactly what i want offer to Windows user (not a wishful thinking, i am still checking last details but seems everything ready ..well ready for testing
About Mac no idea i don't use Mac so i can't give a opinion
