Tabitha had been sitting on my shelf for years and I decided to take her back to the woods and set her free. It was a heartbreaking decision, but she'll be a lot happier now with the woodland creatures. Farewell Tabitha... :(

Thanks both. The difficulty was getting the colour to match the background which was created in Bryce. I think I duplicated Tabitha, locked the Alpha channel, flood filled orange (colour-picked from the sky) and put the layer onto grain merge. I then had to do a number of other adjustments that I can't remember. The glow was created using layer effects outerglow followed by a gaussian blur.
