M3D and Gmic
the original is 6000x4500 , once resized the gmic postwork is much less evident but still make a difference, at least at full size (meaning 1600X1200)

Wow! That is amazing. You work very big. Either you've got an incredibly fast computer or a lot of patience. I hate waiting for Mandelbulb renders!

No just the contrary, i grabbed resurrected a old crappy desktop slimmed down its OS deleting everything not needed to render( or use a image viewer and the notepad) and i use it for my renders

M3D is only at 32 bit so could not anyway use much Ram it is more important in a 32bit OS eliminate any unneeded service running in background
So even if the desktop is crappy i may go on working on my laptop while it does the rendering, this also minimize the risk to loose a lot of time staring mesmerized to the render in progress

Anyway usually i render to 3200x2400 or max to 4800x3600, but since i had to go out for a few hours here i took the risk to try that size .
