Posted a link to this album (viewtopic.php?f=15&t=2329&start=40#p50643) and said, can I create a work of art using only GIMP and GIMP plugins. This is the result (just a few G'MIC presets, GIMP specific layer properties, and Hue/Sat adjustments). :)

Thanks, but now that I'm a little sober (after a nap; not drunk before but tired; lol), I think I could have done better. Still cool that I can get nice effects just by using what's available in GIMP/G'MIC alone. :)

I've been wanting to have a landscape rose, they seem like they would be easy to take care of and very attractive with little care.

Not the first year 2-ton; second year did require some watering too, but last year, I did very little care for the hedge; only had to water them 3 times and we had a very harse heatwave/drought here last year. This year, I'm happy to say, it's now a real hedge so I am happy. Next year, it will be a completely squared hedge. Unlike the swamp hedge which I have to trim 6 times (or more) a year and a pain, this hedge will only require a light trim once a year. Now to convince the swamp hedge to die so I can replace them too. lol

:)

Lol.
And I can deal with the 3 years for it to mature.

OK; thought I cheated a little (used Impressionist this time for most of the effect), I still used quite a lot of GIMP stuff for this result. Not going to waste Tux's storage space this time though. Hope you like this smudgestick result. :)
