my thoughts exactly! but i've tried just an empty black background, which was too empty and i like a little framing, so i usually do something to the corners. i tried making a space behind the paisley instead of the plain black but it took too much attention from my paisley even if i turned it down. then i used plain black with the same flame corners i used in this picture and that looks good in the small picture but the flames looked somehow unmotivated in the wallpaper format. then i tried some different types of straight line corners (always just two corners) with more or less toned down fire or glow effects to them and none of them looked good together with the paisley. i tried using the pattern inside the paisley as a corner gradient but that stole attention as well. seems i'e written a whole novel here, but i needed to complain a bit!
