I thought you had used Rodilius. I can't tell the difference. Interesting effect.

Who would thought you could do that with the cubism filter. :)

I get no animation either. I even saved it to my desktop and tried to play it from there and it still just sits there looking like a regular png.

aPNG is a not widely supported subset of PNG Drac. Most browsers don't even support this (FireFox does). You even have to download a GIMP plugin in order to open and save in this format. Even 2.8 doesn't directly support this format (actually tried to download Rod's image and it just shows up as a PNG file for me). Might open up my Ubuntu later to see how it looks. :)

I have the png-apng plug-in installed but it may just be IE8. I tried to open something the other day that Cecelia posted but the site said my browser was not up to date. When I checked, sure enough there is a IE9 out but it's not configured for XP or the programing is different or something or other, so I guess my desktop is stuck with XP and IE8. I may have to breakdown and start using my laptop with Win7 and IE9. Might even get brave and try and load 2.8. Hey, I might even get Mathmap to work!

I installed all of the files for apng but never found much practical use for it. I hope it catches on because it produces neat results.

FF and Opera are the only browsers I know that can play Apng anims.

Well I finally got around viewing this one in Firefox (Ubuntu) Rod. lol

Looks cool. Tried to run firefox portable (in XP) but got a lockout issue when viewing your thread; weird. Might actually install Firefox at a future day and time, but not in the mood at the moment. :)

If you install the apng plugin you can open the image as an PNG-APNG image in Gimp-2.8 and view it through the animation > Playback dialog. :)

It should open as a bunch of layers for you.

I'm brand new to the whole Gimp plugins thing so please bare with me!! I am on a mac I had already updated to Gimp 2.8 when I started trying to mess around with plug ins and scripts I found and downloaded the apng plug in and followed the instructions on installing it. Pasted the ui and exe file in the Gimp/Contents/Resources/lib/gimp/2.0/plugins also did this and deleted the original png file... and also as I seen someone else suggest somewhere pasted into Users/Username/Library/Application Support/Gimp/plug-ins. I've tried doing all of the above separate and together lol I installed Gimp 2.6.11 again and did the same things with a few different plug ins I found to download. And of course restarted Gimp after each attempt. NOTHING WORKS and I'm desperate! Please please please somebody help! lol

PS Chrome also supports it via the aPng Extension: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/deta ... mnpckdbblp
