Just a doodle, but it reminds me of the way a guy I used to work with wired devices.

That looks more like circuitry board wiring.

I used to assemble starter motor panels for a place called Miquest inc.
Each panel usually had 6 starter motors. We could wire one in about 32 minutes.
But the wire laid out was much different for us.
Normally each wire went in through 3 sets of wire holes in the side of the panel.
Each starter had 12 terminal clips on each side (not all were used).
Anyways if we wired like that it would be very, very difficult for another electrician to fix anything...what a mess. :lol
We would bunch the wires up in tracks and wire tie them in. (Crude drawing follows) :)
