Los Angeles was one of the first Metropolis to have a Subway that soon become too successful , and its success bring its ruin

It was too a bad example, it would lead people to think that have a car was no strictly necessary, and that would be a too severe threat to the economy of the Nation

So the owner was forced to sell the Los Angeles Subway to a company , a offspring of the Car lobby, and the company just closed all the entrances

Very soon with the success of the Anti-Saloon League and the Prohibition Law become one of the most trendy meeting place of the City, there were most of Saloon, Club,
Pub, Bistro, ...and at the doors full clothed policemen employed by the Mafia to survey the entrances

Time pass by and the tunnels are still there, still forgotten, still used in the most different ways

A good stronghold for Aliens, well not Aliens from outer space, just neighbors from a close by Dimension
Aliens that really appreciate the availability of that huge network of galleries and even more the privacy offered by the place and are now working to extend their net to the many others forgotten subway from Manhattan to Moscow, to Paris,to...

Aliens consider the control of such huge network just under the Enemy ass quite useful for a successful Invasion
