Hi all,

Here is a world map I created in GIMP.

No painting was involved. Just used the image generated under File>Create>Patterns>Render map and and cut some areas of the land masses, shaped them with iwarp, re-scaled and positioned them appropriately.

No reference image was used, just from my memory of what I know the world map to be. Could be better ...

Unfortunately, my xcf file is too huge to upload (10mb) and when compressed only reduces to 9mb.

That's really cool. I think you've remembered it very well. I would remember the main land masses but not have a clue about the islands. I suppose it would be really difficult to make it any more accurate than you've made it but you've done an excellent job.
