A practice sheet I did. Originally it was for practicing facial expressions, but I ended up drawing more than just faces, so maybe "a study of body language" might be more close to the truth. This is intentionally quick work, with little time spent on each image, in order to try to make the character's mood and attitude come across with few lines rather than much detail.

The images hang together but there is no full story intended, this is just practice. I think I can see an improvement in line quality and style from beginning to end though.

You're expressions are pretty good. I can see improvement from beginning to end as well.

This will be really handy for budding artists to look at, and learn from. :)
Thanks for sharing it Griatch.

Reminds me of my wifes "morning routine". She's never quite satisfied with the way she looks and agonizes over every aspect. She invariably gets completely dressed and then decides something's off and changes into something else. Go figure. :rofl

Priceless work Griatch!

Thanks for the comments everybody!

It was fun to do (and educational) and I'm glad it looks funny to others too. It's quite interesting how little is really needed to show a pose and emotion. We humans are very good at interpreting such things from little information.

@Rod
I didn't think of this as being useful as a reference in its own right, but if someone found use of it, it would be great. :)

Really spot on with the body language and for "quick sketches" they were still full of detail to transfer how the character felt and moved. Very well done, two thumbs up! :coolthup :bigthup
