Just one of them times of loading up gimp and playing with the different filters, I was pleased with the outcome

Anmal - Thanks for the comment, been reading some posts on the Map>Sample Coulorise filter, something I never really used before but the posts have me intrigued.
So after uploading this here, I thought I know lets download a photo into gimp and use this pattern as the sample, I then set it to overlay, Gave an interesting sheen to the original photo.
