Using the needles animated brush that I made and mentioned in the Decorated Festive Tree post, I applied various sizes and spacing values along with color variations applying the animated brush along a nearly circular curved path resulting in a wreath.



I then began experimenting using various GMIC filters and after applying PhotoComix Metallic Grain Filter, I arrived at this:



It gave me sort of the impression of looking like a nice door mat or welcome mat. Or maybe it would just be a nice mat to hang, as I'm not sure I want dirty feet wiping along this one, lol.

I wouldn't want to wipe my feet on it either. It's just the right texture for a mat, though. You could just whomp up another one when it gets dirty. The beauty of GIMP.
