- the (maybe not so) exciting sequel to "medusas". in the first medusa post, we were aquainted with the paisleys, who met the multi-replicate filter and somehow turned into medusas. then we learned how the medusas turned into a repeatable pattern. the story continues thus:
one of the little medusas left the flock to go exploring on its own and met a g'mic filter called "symmetrizoscope". they were mutually attracted and the result was a brand new pattern:

another medusa went to see what had become of the first one, but was discovered by a talent scout, who said: "oooh, you have what it takes! you'll make a lovely ipad background, just let me contact a g'mic filter i know..." and the agent held a quick but enthusiastic phone conference with a filter called "euclidean - polar" (and which had nothing to do with either polar bears or abba's record company polar records) and soon enough the medusa found itself transformed into a beautiful wallpaper for a very nice young girl's ipad:

to make this story short and urban lexicon friendly: Medusa found a boyfriend called Symme...something and they fell in love, started a family, got babies.
Her sister got tricked by some gimmick guy into modeling business. End of story.

Babies would come soon ,for the babies to be the medusas need first to meet a charming fascinating partner as the MirrorSquid ...when the MirrorSquid meet nice medusa it will try to attract her attention reflecting her own beauty but multiplied by the clouds of liquid mirrors that he can project all around his body
(as more commune squid may project black ink around to escape ,)

here i would like to show the pulsing mirror in movement but that will too seriously impact on GC bandwidth but i think i may offer 2 still images (that are also 2 cool seamless pattern so i didn't scale and let as png )

now since we are on GC and we must avoid mature content we need to skip a too accurate description of a very relevant step  but after that we could already seen changes that indicate pregnancy in the reflected shapes of our Medusas

and , here again we can't give too much details because is a so delicate argument , ... but soon will be babies as

all that from the 2nd pattern have hearts (1, 3, 5, 6 ) ...maybe because i was googling on the old sufi symbol of the winged hearth while listening Harshdeep Kaur (http://www.liveindia.com/harshdeep/online.html oopps already dead but on youtube you will found a lot as https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADTOmofLca4 ) i love her voice (i just discovered her searching for winged hearth and sufism...only in India could play and dance such a nice Sufi )

first things first :) : photo comix: harshdeep kaur!!!! you listen to harshdeep kaur! i love her, both her stuff in bollywood and her stuff outside it, she's really made an impression on me. have you heard the song "katiya karoon" from a movie called rockstar? it's not only harshdeep, she made it with a debutant singer, but it's lovely work and i'm still angry that "hard kaur" didn't get any of the major awards for that song last year. and sufi music is fantastic, both the "real" stuff and the popped up stuff - you should try two other bollywood takes on it, made by genius a r rehman: kun faya kun (rockstar) and khwaje mere khwaja (jodha akbar)
and no, i don't mind your contribution to the story at all, i loved it and after all you skipped the embarrassing part .
esper: (i hope gimp chat can take some more enthusiasm from my part, because here it comes...) i :heart looove :heart chinese dragons and clouds paintings and patterns! i just met my brother's chinese girlfriend for the very first time last evening and she was tired and had a cold, but that was the only reason i didn't start pumping her for info on chinese ornamentics :). oh, and thanks for commenting.
k1tesseraena: appealing paraphrase, but are you really insinuating that my narration isn't metropolitan enough in its vocabulary :hoh .
2-ton: thank you, thank you :curtsey - and you got your baby pictures sooner than you expected!

Glad you like too, i bookmarked your suggestion

Very different as origins but now somehow on a converging path ...did you know Loreena McKennit ?

In her first works was a bit too lyrical to my taste i mean to close to "Opera" thrills and mannerism but from the Book of Secret https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=If8k59xJIOk to her last live she become really special as is her hearth and soul to sing now

2 tons

the babys are there:
the she-babies the most rounded
the masculine instead tend to be more squared or even rhomboidal

photo comix: of course i know loreena mckennitt! one of my favourites is her version of alfred noyes' poem "the highwayman". i don't know which one i like best, lorrena mckennitt's version or the one that phil ochs made in the sixties.
esper: admit you stole that line from one of those informative booklets that teenagers are given by well meaning but clearly embarrassed adults!
