at putting flames into something.

I followed the tutorial here

Image
My original photo was too light so I had to colourize it and then make the water dark. before I could do the rest.

Do you think maybe someone put oil in the birdbath instead of water and set fire to it?
Thanks Mokonafan.

sallyanne: well done!!! looks very much like a fire dying down. i like the bird bath too, the shading is beautifully done. my theory on the flames in the bird bath is that someone wanted it to double as a barbeque. they are right now getting the marinated meat out of the fridge.

Thanks Anmal, I am not much at drawing the real thing. Maybe if I try again another time. I have done this tutorial before but had a larger area to work with.
I didn't do any shading. (One thing I like about the colourizer tool is you can change the colour of something without destroying all of the image. Just like a black and white it just goes to all shades of the one colour)

That looks pretty good for your first try. :bigthup
I checked out the tut that you linked to and you can't go wrong with the way that guy does his tuts.
