I believe PC is showing us his plug-ins after he compiled gimp 2.7.2?
Those are the new larger previews with GEGL fully optimized?

well is already done but only for 2 plugin on 8
thank to a flickr friend Francois Collard (the same that made the installer for gmic, and orher plugin )

there is a problem for the other 6 (because they are not a single .c file but are composed by several files and that make everything more complex...a way to build it would be build the whole gimp on win that is a pita ...) but you never know ,so cross the fingers

i didn't had the the time to test, but seems both works well

i didn't post anything yet to the registry, i want wait a bit hoping to get more compiled version
As i said only the most simple plugin are ready for Windows,Fractal Trace and Depth Merge

HERE http://www.box.net/shared/tq1h36tjym
you will see 4 files, one is the more generic should work on any win architecture
a example depth-merge.exe

the other is optimized for pentium 4 and support SSL
in this case the file name include P4
example depth-mergeP4.exe

Also small tiles should be ready but for some reason is not yet in uploaded

Don't use depth merge that often, but do use Fractal Trace. Your compiled version is even smaller then the original that I had by the way. Since I have an AMD processor, I chose the more generic version of the filter. Definitely very cool to see a much bigger preview PC. Thanks a heap. :)

i would like to be able to use better or at least eliminate all that unused grey space at the right of the preview.
But as it is coded the plugin allow only square preview, and so doesn't even allow to set 2 values for the preview , 1 for H and 1 for W , instead accept only 1 value , the size of the square
(maybe the author didn't know that most of images are rectangular, not squares )

ZIP error, but 7-zip was able to open the file. The resulting file had no extension, so I opened that in 7-zip too and then I saw the 2 files (love 7-zip; lol). Can I say it again PC; excellent. Not showing my preview since Rod beat me to the punch, but I am so happy that you and François are doing this. Maybe some of the developers will see your work and absorb it into future versions of GIMP. Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou. GIMPressionist maybe next? :)

I really hope that would be not absorbed;
i hope that may motivate some developer to do better ,a cool resizable and zoomable preview
