My roommate paints. She does watercolors, she also tried some digital painting. I can't do it, not like she does, or eris, or griatch. Ffff it's so frustrating to have an image in my head and it won't come out the way I want it to. So I stick to what I know and try to build on that. I still think it's art in its own right. Any time you spend some time with a medium and apply a creative process it's art.

Here comes a really hard work.
I use not segmentation...the rough texture of the girl was made with fotosketcher.
Composition done in GIMP of course.

chris f: hehe, it's hard to know what to say because all the "beautiful" and "gorgeous" are already spent - but really nice job, yet again! i like the marilyn picture better than the other one, i thought the difference of definition between the girl's face and body was a bit annoying (face still has too much photo feel, body looks a lot more painted) and it's not really my type of picture anyway, but i really like the starburst in the background and the uneven edges around it.

How do you get the girls clothes to look like it's dripping off? that can't just be brushes?

Yes that dripping effect comes from the brushes. But i use rought brushes to smudge the clothes more like paint also.
