I've been practicing drawing eyes, this is my latest experiment. My tutor/guru pointed out some shading mistakes but it's an improvement, especially for someone with the artistic ability of a cabbage. My next one will hopefully be right.

Hey, not bad. You're getting there. Keep on working at it.

I don't think i'd do any better but a few things to point out:
eyelashes are usually less chaotic and their length and spacing are more or less uniform;
eyebrow hair grows in one direction;
eyes should have more 'wet' look and light spot gotta be sharp-looking due to that wetness.

This is WIP and I make focused critique only when I know that author can do better.
Having seen your previous works, I know you can.
I'd like to see this project finished.

the majority of the pic is so sharp and clear, I am thinking the iris should be less blurred/smudged. It's very good, the skin and lashes look quite real.

gms9810: hm, and you're supposed to have the artistic ability of a cabbage?! you're doing great, learning new things all the time and you obviously weren't bad to begin with.

gms9810 - good results, the shape looks good, I think most posters have already mentioned areas of improvement but with practise I can see some really good looking eyes coming from your direction. Well Done.

You're quite an artistic cabbage GMS. I think you are doing really well with your painting and this is a very good eye. :)
