My Son is into magic, mainly card tricks and wanted to create his own website for playing cards, He has come up with the name ultimate decks.
After playing around with some soap bubble ideas, came across this effect that I have incoprated into a quick logo design, sorry about the copyright but he'd be gutted if his image was stolen.

If your son is into the history and ancient mysteries of playing cards I think he would enjoy reading, Prophetical, Educational and Playing Cards (1912) at Project Gutenberg.

Not sure he wants pretty but I think it's very nice, and I actually like the copyright I think it looks cool. xD

this is very nice he4rty, if you look at each detail individually
but i think everything together is a bit much

i like the iridescent ring best, and the initials next
but i think the plasma filled letters and the (very nice) background are overkill
it is a kind of opulence with no, how do you say ?.....focus

if i was you, i would go with a neutral background and make the letters simple (and subtle) chrome

that all is of course, a matter of personal taste, and just my opinion
as i said, i think everything is very well done (as usually in your case) !

also out of curiosity:
did you consider using the card theme in any way ?

he4rty: it's just beautiful! the usual he4rty wizardry . i don't agree with esper, i don't think there's too much going on there and changing it would risk taking away it's uniqueness, which has to be a strength.

Originally I had designed the logo with just basic chrome letters but something kept nagging at me that with such a coloured ring glowing around the outside the letters should show this in there reflection hence why they ended up plasma filled.
