I've been working on a forest cathedral for a while. It looks pretty dead now, but soon it'll have some life

Wow, Nice so far!
A bit too smooth looking but it's a WIP so, I'm sure more texture on the buildings to come. :D

Very nice thus far. Can't wait to see further updates. As usual it will be really good when you have finished.

Thanks everyone

I'm definitely planning on some texture on the walls. Texture is one of the last things I end up getting to, so I'm not quite there yet. I added some vines today, though.

The original is 5,000 px wide - large enough I can zoom in and maybe add some people, hide Waldo (who is in another scene I did a long time ago).

I really like this one Merrak. People would add some energy to this and who knows - maybe a cat or two?

ooh notes lol :)

and the vines look great, and it'd be really cool if you added in all sorts of detail and then uploaded a full scale image

merrak: it's a lovely looking landscape! and an even lovelier cathedral - i'd love to walk about in it and go from tower to tower on those bridges. a building that sets off my imagination. i think i'd leave the far left tower alone, though, as it seems to be leaning a bit to the left :).
looking forward to see this completed.

I used to hide cats all the time, I really should start doing that again :D

Vines give me an excuse to not draw as many windows :P

Oops! it is leaning. Should've done 2-point perspective. Maybe I'll just figure out how to prop it back up... or draw a giant hand holding it up.

It's looking real good. I like the way you create a sense of depth/3D effect to your pictures.

looks great. I'd never have the imagination to do stuff like that. Keep up the good work.

"The Living Castle"... maybe a good idea for a new drawing

Thanks everyone!

I need to wrap this up soon, it takes 8GB of memory just to hold it in GIMP. Up to 40 hours.
