From the lost Diary of Professor Challenger , Professor Summerlee confirmed the autenticity

Charles Darwin was convinced that because the evolution fishes mutated to get on the land and breath out of water.

Don't take me wrong i respected Darwin works, and part of evolution theory, but in case of fishes that always seemed to me as a nonsense :
supposing that for a casual mutation a fish got able to go offshore...what he would have done there without a partner ?
And the chances that 2 fishes of the same race but opposite sex got the same mutation, at the same time and place and so they could meet off-shore to proliferate seems ridiculously low...

But i found evidence that if not normal fishes at least starfishes did such evolutionary jump

Here a couple of starfishes adapted to terrestrial life, ... it remain a bit of a mystery how they could have gone from the seashore to the mountain top, (starfishes seems not very adapt for trekking ) but somehow they did ...
