This version of the app allows you to move created vertices so you can edit created polygons.

I don't know what to do with all the files in this folder?

1) just extract the files to your desktop or wherever.

2) and then open index.html in your browser (hopefully Chrome, it's faster in Chrome).

3) then drag an image from your computer into the middle area of the index.html page.

4) And start of by clicking "Delete all vertices" and you should be able to start clicking away to draw your polygons. Don't zoom in too much in Chrome, if you don't see any vertices being drawn, zoom out a bit and try until you see vertices and polygons drawn as you click (on my computer I can only zoom into 110 percent, any more than that makes the work disappear until I zoom out again).
Let me know if it works for you.

PS: I am very excited to see people try the app and hopefully see some polygon art posted soon.

That last version is excellent.
A quick render + tweak in Gimp using PClinuxOS, SRware Iron (same as chrome)

Is there a limit on image size, seemed to stall on a larger image?

Nice one rich2005.
I wonder what the max image size is now so i can post that so people would know.
edit: I tried with a 3000x3000 image and it's okay i just had to zoomout to 50%, although at 50% it was hard to see where the vertices were clicked. It seems that it doesn't want to show the work done if you zoom in to the point where the width of image is greater than the browser width.
and of course I created a facebook page for the app (https://www.facebook.com/PolygonArtApp).

I've tried the latest modification of the app and it works great.
Editable polygons is a huge improvement!
Great coding man!

Below is an example of 3D polygon art that I also like very much
don't know who the author is but i think it's worth posting

woh! That's awesome!
hey, how come other uploaded images say how many times it's viewed and your image post doesn't show that?
I know if i link image from somewhere else then it doesn't show, but your image is located on gimp chat.
It's not important, just curious to why or how that is.

2-ton,
Have you tried the original triangulator app on the mac to see if it works?
I don't know anything about the mac but...
If the original triangulator app works on the mac, then it seems the mac might need the __MACOSX folder structure with some weird ._.DS_Store file stored inside a folder with the same name as folder that contains index.html (in the original app it's called triangulator, in my version it is called polygon).

You could try downloading this zip file to try on mac (provided that the original app works on the mac).

I just copied the folder inside __MACOSX called triangulator and renamed it as polygon so that the same folder structure match just in case the mac expects it. I left the triangulator folder there since it doesn't hurt, probably don't need it but again i don't have a mac to test on so but it's worth a try.

After you try, please let me know if it simply works without the __MACOSX folder (previous polygon_editable.zip) on the mac or if this tryOnMac.zip works on the mac.

Edit: I just read somewhere that when you compress files on the mac it automatically creates the __MACOSX folder and that you can just delete it. So that means that the original triangulator app must have been created on the mac so logically, polygon_editable.zip should just work on the mac as well since it's just javascript. But still, let me know if it works on the mac.

PS: now that i think about it i should try it on a linux machine, no reason why it shouldn't work but i will try anyways just to make sure.

each layer has a different plasma cloud, and i set elephant layer mode to value.
each layer is dropped shadow individually on other layers and background with offsets 4pixel for body, 8pixel for left leg, 12 pixel for right leg,16pixel for ears,20pixel for head and trunk to make it look like paper cut-outs stacked on top of each other at different depths.

I love the way you did the elephant. I have no idea how to do any of what you suggested. I might have a mac but I have no idea what makes it tick. I use mcgimp by partha, so all the work is done for me. I do know how to put scripts and plug ins and brushes, etc. into the gimp folders, but that is the extent of my knowledge. I have no idea what the triangulator app is…is it an app from the apple store or some sort of plug in?

2-ton, there is a brief description on p.2 (where the download link is), mac version is included
in the original Triangulator app, if you want the modified editable polygon to work on your Mac, download both and replace
original trianulatr java script file with the one provided in trandoductin's package.
There are some video tuts, including the one by trandoductin

K1, I would have no idea how to replace part of an actual script. It's all greek to me. However, if I get some free time, I will investigate to see if I can learn.

Trans….
I just watched your tutorial video and tried your script in the download zip and yay, it works on a mac using safari! Is there a way to enlarge the pic? I used a fairly good sized picture but it was pretty small on the work screen, and that made it hard to do small triangles for showing details.

Try holding the Ctrl key and scroll-wheel of the mouse see if it zooms like other browsers.
If that works, try to draw a triangle, when it's somewhat zoomed out and then zoom-in as far as you can (making sure the drawn triangle still shows) because on Chrome if you zoom in to far all the work disappears until you zoom-out to 100% or 125% depending on size of image.
