Merrak that is beautiful. You certainly have developed a style all of your own.

Today first try with Mypaint (oranges). Erisian, I have done a few in GT years ago but this is speed painting and I am really an amateur. So I am staying with very small canvasses, a small palette and two or three brushes. BTW how do you control canvas size in Mypaint?
This took 40 minutes, I would have liked to change the shading but that would grossly affect the time.
Tomorrow no entry as I will be travelling to see my sister on the other side of Aus.

@ wbool AFAIK, the canvas has an infinite size in MyPaint - that's what struck me few years back when I first tried it.
If not mistaken, they (the devs) are going to make it finite and re-sizable in future versions.

Beautiful work, by the way.

Day 4
Realise that I need to work on shape more than shading at the moment, have been following and online course and it recommends using a viewfinder, so haunted round the house (Yes, I ran round the house going wooooh.) and made something up with what I could find lying around. So today armed with the new viewfinder, went for a jam jar and just tried to get shape.
I've posted the image below plus my makeshift viewfinder(Although the photo was taken at a different angle to the view I was drawing).

Day 4:
The unfinished Sketch, I'm going to post the complete piece when it is done XD
I already need more than 40 Minutes for it.

Canvas in MyPaint is unlimited, you can use the "Frame" feature if you want some limitation.

Bloody - Lovely drawing, hope you'll post the coloured version when finished.

Day 05
Still working on shape, so today I chose to do a Balance Board Roller, basically it sits on the floor and a skate board type thing locks into the slot, then you have to balance but it seesaws and rolls just to make it more interesting.

Day 06
Getting a bit frustrated with the still lifes so thought I would attempt some sort of genric face, cheated a bit on time though, although the drawing and painting was within my 30 minute time frame I did position the guides and such for construction prior to this.

I really am trying to keep this under 30 mins , but I need 40 mins each time and then it is still not finished . However, we are here to learn. This is a sketch from one of my photos of our holiday (not a tracing) . We were the only ones on the beach. In gimp only.

Bloody - Very nice and just keep going doesn't matter if you miss a day or not the idea is just to encourage drawing something everyday so we can all get better, Anyway hope your feel better after your op.

Day 08
I missed yesterday what with one thing and another, so today decided to just download an image from the internet and copy, not too bad considering time limit but really struggled on the mouth.

@Bloody, nice work. I know very little about your style of drawing so all I can say is I like it.
@He4rty, Good likeness! I tried your method with starting out with a not white canvas so you can erase to white. I tried for about 2 hours , starting again after 30 mins to do an image of a daffodil.
I tried in Gimp and in Mypaint. Nothing came out nice or fresh. The many shades of yellow is just too difficult. I hope to show some images shortly.
Edit, on second thoughts I should show you one of my 4 attempts.

wbool - when I was using the white canvas I was having to erase back to white, but now with the off white canvas I can now paint white.
