I'm a huge fan of classic films and particularly of film noir but the subject matter doesn't always lend itself to GimpChat.
So, I thought I'd share this work of my favorite leading lady, barely edging out Katherine Hepburn. Coin toss, really. As always, all criticism, constructive or otherwise is appreciated.

Really nice Mike, the face just looks a little flat on the left side for some reason but the text is perfect for the genre.

You're right, it does. I'm not sure if it's the image or the way I cut it out. I'll have to look at that.

i like the black text with the white stroke/bevel
the layout is cool too

the reflections you added dont work for me
maybe it would look more convincing if the circular cutout of thr gloss was higher

also im not a fan of the italic, in my opinion it would have looked better with the font as it is

love the little joke at the bottom that says Director Mike, etc

One of the greats for sure Mike. :)
I like how you did it all black and white also.

I like it. It's very much of the era that the movie would be associated with. The monochrome look works well, it fits the time frame perfectly, and the glow around Audrey gives her an ethereal look.
The only down side for me is at the top left side of her head, between ten o'clock and midnight, there's a strong with line running along the hair. And the other thing, but I could be totally wrong here, is the poster looks too shiny for something that would of been printed in the 1950s - 60s. Or maybe I'm just thinking about when I see these old posters today they have an aged look about them.

I appreciate the feedback. I'll see if the head issue is related to the manner in which I cut out the render. And I'll see what it looks like without the oval highlight effects.
