I use 2 filter :
1 : filter->Map->BumpMap for the bevel
2 : filter->Map->Displace

It s an environment map ? I don't understand what is an environment map

Next : alpha -> selection on my Layer texte
invert selection and erase on the layer gradient

5 secondes :mrgreen:

Next -> colors curve

My wife Brittany (born in Brest) and when I draw, I often draw for her (she is very chauvinistic :mrgreen: )

you can do nice text effects with Filters -> Light & Shadow -> Lighting Effects

viewtopic.php?f=23&t=8423

you use a so called environment-map for the colours and GnuTux wrote a script to create various Enviromaps
