Very nice so far! I'm not sure if I'd have the patience for it! xD

Thanks Erisian, Rod and Mokonafan! I've added a new WIP! I guess it's going to take a while to finish it :hehe

That's very impressive, especially for pixel art! Did you draw that a few pixels at a time? I don't think I'd have that much patience, although I suppose that's how a lot of older video game art was done.

You're getting some nice textures in there now. It's coming alive!

baukjespirit: that's beautiful work! i like the texturing and shading :). back in the very late eighties i used a simple drawing program on my brother's computer to paint pictures - mainly women dressed in clothes styles i liked - and i spent ages shading and texturing and still never got anything half as good looking as this :).

I used for the trees, road and distant grass the pencil with brush size 1, sometimes 2, with the jitter on. But for the grass in front, leaves and bush I use the pixel for pixel technique :)

AnMal:
Well there are more possibilities now, I'm sure creating pixel art is easier to create now than back then, also because you can use a lot more colors and you can select things on color (which came in handy a lot while I was working on this one) :D

Ah! That's how you get the semi air-brush feel even though it's not anti-alias smooth.
Nice! I'll have to try that "one day". xD

Thanks, Carlos Diniz!
Mokonafan: I'm curious what you come up with, if you're going to create pixel art :D

That came out awesome - like scenes from the old Sierra and LucasArts adventures :D

That's really cool!
I wounder if there's a way to create a pixel like effect on a digital photo of my girlfriend or dog, Similar to what you made.

baukjespirit: it is a little bit easier to do this today, just as you say :). it still requires lots of skill and patience, though, and you have both! really like the final result, i agree with merak about the sierra or lucas arts feeling. but quite apart from my nostalgic feelings for old computer games i think this is a beautiful composition and you've made great use of the colours.
