My Christmas card for 2013. Did you spot Old father troll?
See the DA link for a lot more information. Done in MyPaint and GIMP. I will hopefully soon get a timelapse video together from the making of this. :)

griatch: you've done your usual outstanding job on the lighting and the trees and bushes look very alive and organic. i like the gnomes/vättar too and i enjoyed searching for father troll, who was very visible once i knew he'd be there somewhere but whom i totally missed first time i looked :). i have to admit, though, i really didn't like the colouring. i know these pastel pink winter mornings exist, i've been out in them often enough, but i don't like them in paintings - they remind me too much of tacky mail order pictures from the eighties or something.

It looks quite cold! I see the old troll, he was hard to make out for a minute but after staring I saw the features of the face better.

Cute picture! :3

Thanks for the comments and feedback everyone! I've sent this to the printers now, will be fun to see how they look as prints!

@AnMal
Thanks for the comment! As for the colours - fair enough. Can't please everyone. :)

I sure wish I could paint half as good as that, they are all so beautiful. I do love the colors in that one.

Very nice painting. I would like to get it.
Must be blind though I will have to come back and see if I can see your troll.

@Sallyanne
Don't give up, old father troll is there (there are often hidden features like this in my Christmas Cards actually). If you do want the painting, it's available as a print from DeviantArt. :)

Found him. Only because I read your story on Deviant Art and then I still had to look closely.

By the way I didn't disbelieve he was there.
